A bowl of soup is a great way to start off any meal. It’s versatile enough to stand on its own as a fast supper if the right components are utilized. Even if you can whip up a bowl of quick soup in just a few minutes, little can compare to the flavor of homemade soup cooked in a crockpot. Here are some simple soup methods you can make in a crock pot, whether you prefer a brothy broth or a thick and creamy soup.
Taco Soup that’s Good for You, Made in a Crockpot
What’s Required:
1 kilogram of beef ground
Diced red peppers (4)
chopped onion, one big (1 Tomatoes, diced, half a cup
Green chilies, chopped, 1 cup (3 cups) bone broth
3/4 cup of coconut milk for cooking
Add 3 teaspoons of chili powder
1 teaspoon coriander
1/2 a cup of coconut oil
2 tsp. of salt from the sea
Black pepper, 2 teaspoons
1/4 teaspoon ginger
Paprika, one teaspoon
a pinch of red pepper flakes
Garlic powder, half a teaspoon
a pinch of onion powder, or.5 tsp
Sliced jalapenos, for garnish
Thin slices of green onion, for garnish
Avocado slices, lime wedges, and cilantro for garnish.
The bell pepper and onion should be cooked in melted coconut oil over medium heat for about 5–7 minutes, or until soft. Ground beef should be added in the pan and stirred often until fully cooked. Drain the liquid, then add it to the slow cooker. Spice it up by mixing in some chili powder in addition to the cumin, sea pepper, salt, and pepper to taste cinnamon, pepper, cayenne pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder. Blend in some coconut milk, green chilies, chopped tomatoes, and bone broth. Leave covered and cook on low for 8 hours. Serve with whatever condiments you choose.
Soup with Creamy Mushrooms and Spinach for the Slow Cooker
What’s Required:
3 minced garlic cloves
Three cups of white button mushrooms, sliced 5 cups of chicken broth
Two servings of frozen cheese tortellini, two servings of baby spinach
Half and half, 1 1/2 cups
1 glass milk
1/2 pound of chopped garlic
Parmesan cheese, grated, 1/2 cup
3.0 ounces of butter
Garlic powder, 2 tablespoons
Seasoning: 1/2 teaspoon Italian
Pepper, white, 1/2 teaspoon
Black pepper, half a teaspoon
A pinch of thyme
1/2 gram of salt
Cook the garlic, mushrooms, and onion in the melted butter for 2 to 3 minutes over medium heat. Add salt and black pepper to taste, then mix in the spinach. Toss everything into a slow cooker. Combine chicken broth, half-and-half, cheddar cheese, cloves of garlic, Italian seasoning, white pepper, and thyme in a large saucepan. Mix gently. Boil for 3 hours covered on low heat. Mozzarella tortellini and milk may be added. Just 30 minutes before the end of the cooking time.
