Barbecue Sandwiches

Spending a significant amount of money each month on eating out is draining. The thought of returning home after a hard day at work and preparing dinner is exhausting.

The slow cooker, or crock pot, has been available for quite some time. In the ’70s, the Rival firm® acquired Naxon, the firm that would later create the “Beanery All The goal Cooker.”

The slow cooker was relaunched in 1971 by Rival® under the brand name “Crock-Pot.” In 1974, an improvement was introduced that made the stoneware cooking inserts detachable and dishwasher-safe. Despite Rival®’s ownership of the “crock-pot” trademark, the phrase “crock-pot” is now generally used to refer to any manufacturer of this useful kitchen device.

Soups, meats, major courses, veggies, dips, sides, and even desserts may be cooked in a crockpot. The low power and moderate cooking speeds of these culinary miracles keep costs down.

Here’s a simple recipe for individuals who need a hearty meal but don’t have time to spend days in the kitchen preparing it.

Pork barbeque ingredients for a slow cooker

Roast pork (around 2 to 3 pounds)* Freshly ground black pepper Sea salt
Brand that makes commercial barbecue sauce that is universally favored**
Fried dill pickles
Hamburger buns baked fresh from the oven
Optional homemade coleslaw.
Barbecued pork sandwiches made in a slow cooker. Instructions

Prepare a pressure cooker for the meat. Either start the slow cooker before you leave at work in the morning, or cook your meat the night prior before and chill it until dinner time.

Keep the water out. When cooking a beef roast, it is tempting to fill the crock pot to the brim with water, but this isn’t essential.

The beef should slow cook for 8-10 hours.

Remove any liquid or drips from the crock and wipe it off with a piece of paper towel.***

Take the meat out of the cooker and shred it.

To taste, salt and pepper.

Toss on some bbq sauce.

After adding sauce, give it time to warm.

Buns wrapped in paper towels heated for a couple of seconds on low in the microwave.

Pile smoked pork on rolls.

Coleslaw and dill pickle chips are great additions.

Extra barbeque sauce may be added if desired.

Enjoy!
Tips for Cooking

You may swap up the pork with chicken or beef if you want.If you have the time, homemade sauce for barbecue is also fantastic. *** If you choose to cook beef instead, you may use the meat drippings to create Yorkshire Pudding. Broth, soup, and gravy may all be made from chicken drippings.
